OutPulse is built for legitimate B2B sales outreach - not spam. This policy outlines what constitutes acceptable use of our platform's email features and the measures we take to prevent abuse. Violations result in immediate account suspension.
OutPulse has a zero-tolerance policy for unsolicited bulk email (spam). We define spam as: sending commercial messages to recipients who have not given consent (where required by law) or who have no reasonable expectation of receiving such communication.
Accounts found sending spam will be immediately suspended without refund.
Every email sent through OutPulse sequences must include:
✓ A valid physical postal address of the sender
✓ A one-click unsubscribe link (automatically included by OutPulse)
✓ An honest "From" name that identifies the sender
✓ A non-deceptive subject line that reflects the email content
✓ Clear identification as a commercial message where required by law
You must also:
✓ Honour unsubscribe requests within 10 days (OutPulse auto-suppresses within minutes)
✓ Maintain a suppression list of contacts who have opted out
✓ Remove bounced addresses from future sends
✓ Verify consent documentation for recipients in CASL jurisdictions (Canada)
✗ Send to purchased or scraped email lists without verification of consent
✗ Use deceptive headers, From names, or subject lines
✗ Send emails with no unsubscribe mechanism
✗ Ignore unsubscribe requests
✗ Send to recipients who have previously unsubscribed
✗ Exceed reasonable sending volumes that trigger spam filters
✗ Send content that is illegal, fraudulent, or harmful
✗ Impersonate another person or organization
✗ Use OutPulse to harvest email addresses for use outside the platform
United States (CAN-SPAM): No prior consent required for B2B, but opt-out must work within 10 days. Violations: $53,088 per email (2025).

EU/UK (GDPR + PECR): Legitimate interest basis acceptable for B2B cold outreach to business addresses. Consent required for B2C. Unsubscribe mandatory.

India (DPDP Act 2023): Consent required for commercial communications to Indian data principals.
OutPulse displays jurisdiction-specific warnings in the UI when you add recipients from regulated regions.
OutPulse enforces the following technical safeguards:
• Automatic one-click unsubscribe link in every sequence email
• Auto-suppression of unsubscribed contacts (cannot be re-added)
• Bounce rate monitoring - sequences auto-pause at 5% bounce rate
• Spam complaint monitoring - warning at 0.1%, pause at 0.3%
• Daily sending limits per account to prevent burst abuse
• Domain reputation monitoring for sender domains
• In-app warnings for CASL (Canada) and GDPR (EU) recipients
• Required physical address field in sequence settings
OutPulse monitors for abuse through:
• Automated bounce rate and complaint rate tracking
• Manual review of accounts with unusual sending patterns
• Abuse reports from recipients (abuse@outpulse.io)
• ISP feedback loops
Enforcement actions (progressive):
1. Warning email with 24-hour compliance deadline
2. Sequence sending suspended pending review
3. Account suspended (credits frozen)
4. Account terminated (no refund)
Severe violations (e.g., phishing, malware distribution) result in immediate termination without warning.
If you receive unwanted email sent through OutPulse, report it to: abuse@outpulse.io
Include: the email you received (with full headers), your email address, and any context about why you believe it is spam.
We investigate all reports within 24 hours.
OutPulse provides the tools and safeguards, but compliance is ultimately your responsibility. You must:
• Understand and comply with the email laws in your jurisdiction AND the recipient's jurisdiction
• Maintain records of consent where required (especially for CASL)
• Train your team on acceptable outreach practices
• Monitor your bounce rates and complaint rates
• Respond promptly to any compliance notices from OutPulse
